Leadership Diversity in the Screen Sector

About the report
Leadership Diversity in the Screen Sector is a Creative UK report that benchmarks representation across leadership roles in the UK’s screen industries.
Bringing together data from organisations spanning film, television, video games, animation and the wider creative ecosystem, it provides the first consolidated picture of who holds power and influence across the sector.
Drawing on original analysis and industry datasets, the report reveals a workforce where diversity at entry and mid‑career levels does not translate into leadership at scale, with persistent underrepresentation across gender, ethnicity, disability and socio‑economic background.
By identifying where representation breaks down and where data gaps remain, the report sets out the case for targeted, long‑term interventions to build a more inclusive and sustainable leadership pipeline.

Introducing New
Screen Launchpad Programme
Screen Launchpad is Creative Enterprise’s flagship new programme, supporting early‑stage and pre‑start‑up founders from under‑represented backgrounds across the screen sector. It is designed to intervene at the point where leadership potential is most vulnerable, helping founders stay in the ecosystem long enough to grow, scale and lead.
